WordPress → GitHub Pages cutover

Before switching DNS

Review the imported Markdown in _posts/, especially code blocks, embeds, tables and galleries.
Run the Pages workflow from a branch or pull request and inspect the generated artifact on desktop and mobile.
Check the homepage, page 2, categories, author page, privacy page and representative old post URLs.
Confirm that all featured and inline media load from /assets/images/ and that there are no remaining WordPress upload references.
Export and retain the WordPress database and uploads as a rollback copy.

Enable Settings → Pages → GitHub Actions for the repository.
Keep the included CNAME file for www.gettothe.cloud.
Configure the DNS www record as instructed by GitHub Pages.
Wait for HTTPS to become active and test the custom domain before changing redirects or stopping the VPS.

Test https://www.gettothe.cloud/, /page/2/, /category/azure-local/, /author/AlexterNeuzen/, the legacy /author/infobuzz-ict-nl/ redirect and at least five historical post slugs.
Check mobile navigation, search filtering, article code blocks, external social links and the privacy page.
Keep the VPS available until traffic and logs show that the new site is serving correctly.
